Mental health is one of the top 10 topics on Facebook for Canada, according to data released by the social network.
The data, compiled by the company on Tuesday, shows that mental health is a top 10 topic for Canadians with at least 500 followers on Facebook.
The average number of likes and shares is 4 per cent.
Mental health was the top topic on Facebook by number of shares for both men and women.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said last month that the platform would focus on addressing mental health more than ever.
“We’ve been hearing from the community that they want us to do more.
They want us more engaged, they want our engagement to be more visible,” he said at the time.
